Can mane hair be used? Mane hair can be used for braiding. Its my own observation that Tail hair is more durable. Over time mane hair may not hold up. So if you have tail you should use it over mane hair.
How long does it take to get my completed order back? It varies usually 3 to 4 week. If you need it for a gift by a certain time let me know and I will do what ever I can to make that happen.
How much hair do I need to send? The hair needs to be 10-12 inches long for a standard sized bracelet. For a necklace, the hair needs to be about twice the length of your finished piece.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLLECTING HORSEHAIR Grasp the longest hairs at the bottom of the tail.· Lift the longest hairs over to the side with one hand and with the other hand pull the shorter hairs away. Separate away as many short hairs as possible so you are only cutting the longest hair· Cut close to the tailbone· Cut 2-4 bunches from different places on the tail so you do not cut too big a chunk from one place· The final bundle should be about the diameter of your finger. For a standard sized bracelet the length needs to be 10-12 inches long. For a necklace the length needs to be about twice the length of the finished necklace ·Tie a rubber band around the bundle. Put the hair bundle in a zip-lock bag. Label the bag with your name, your horses name and phone number. If you don’t think the hair you have is long enough please contact me and I can see what can be worked out.
How do I determine my bracelet size? Measure your wrist at the largest part. Add 3/4-1 inch to this measurement depending upon preference. This is your final bracelet length. Can more then one horses tail be used? Yes I can put as many Horses in a Keepsake as you like. 
there is no need for you to clean the hair before you send it. I have to shampoo and Condition the hair when I receive it.
